Artists usually come to train stations in NYC to hone their craft and make money from passing commuters or tourists. Some blow up to become a big deal. I remember the band called the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble sold their CDs and performed by the subway at Times Square. They drew huge crowds and this particular time the police stopped them to ask if they had a permit to play there to which they obliged. I took pictures of the band with my first DSLR a Pentax K10D. I believe this was around 2008 or so when I caught the photography bug. I laugh now because I attempted to take pictures using manual settings and barely understood the basics of getting a correct exposure utilizing the ISO, Shutter and Aperture controls. I lost the pictures unfortunately.
